Jake Davis’s “The Vote”: The most stylish man in NYC Posted: 11 Mar 2011 01:45 PM PST Award-winning Director/Filmmaker Jake Davis has worked for and with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Guys like T.I., Kanye West, My Chemical Romance, and Snoop Dogg to name a few. Now he’s using his power for good to find the most stylish man in New York. So, like I said – Jake Davis has been around the block. In 2002, right out of college the guy was signed on to document the Anger Management tour featuring Eminem, Ludacris, Papa Roach (whatever happened to them?), etc.. His award-winning student film (he was a graduate of NYU) debuted at the inaugural Tribeca Film Festival. Now he does videos, documentaries, and chronicles live performances for some of the industries hottest acts. He’s also constantly collaborating with Supreme. Needless to say, the dude knows his stuff. Check out his brand new video for Wiz Khalifa’s “Roll Out.” Davis has put together a little poll on his website to find out who people think is the most stylish man in NYC. He has chosen some heavy-hitters in the men’s style world. These guys are the movers and shakers in the industry. I’m very curious to see what the people choose. Check out my top 3 below and go on Jake Davis’s site to vote yourself! Kirk Herbstreit moves out of Ohio because of crazy fans Posted: 11 Mar 2011 01:19 PM PST College football analyst Kirk Herbstreit could only take so much from the raucous OSU fanbase. For years, fans relentlessly attacked him for being critical of the program and not being a homer as an ESPN analyst. And finally, Herbstreit said enough was enough, and after almost three years of pondering whether to move, he packed his bags and his family and headed to Nashville. Before leaving, Herbstreit was respectful in his statements saying the fans that caused a problem represented a small minority. “From a sports perspective, this is rough,” he said. “I love Ohio State. Love the Blue Jackets. Love the Reds. Those are my hobbies. I don’t like moving. I love living here. I don’t want to leave. But I just can’t do this anymore. I really can’t keep going like this. “Eighty to ninety percent of the Ohio State fans are great. It’s the vocal minority that make it rough. They probably represent only 5 to 10 percent of the fan base, but they are relentless.” Herbstreit, who has a radio show on WBNS in Columbus, will continue to do the show in the fall. Hopefully, the OSU fans will attempt to let him be, but knowing their history, he’ll probably have to watch his back for the time being. VIDEO: George Michael look-alike plays shirtless saxophone in random locations Posted: 11 Mar 2011 01:10 PM PST My Fridays are typically lacking in shirtless Latino gentlemen with bad hair recreating the sax bit in George Michael’s 1984 hit “Careless Whisper”. Fortunately, someone named Sergio Flores stepped in to fill that void by acting like an ass in public places. The result is remarkable and insanely funny. This video apparently launched in November of last year so shame on me for not seeing it the first time. But either way, damn if that isn’t the best trolling video I’ve seen in quite some time. That man should be given money for making the world a better place, not arrested or condemned. For shame, society. We have failed this shirtless man in suspenders. UPDATE: The version we saw was taken down due to a copyright claim, so here’s the version from “Mike Diva”. Unfortunately it opens with like 22 seconds of rambling, so skip ahead to 0:23 for the interesting part. |
