| Screw another Tron flick, where’s my Joust movie? Posted: 24 May 2011 01:41 PM PDT Even the most diehard fans will agree that Tron 3 coming soon is too soon. Not only does it need another 20 years for next leap in tech, but it’s also time another classic game franchise went Hollywood. So how about Joust? Okay, never-mind how Tron was originally a movie first, and the game came second. BUT ANYWAY! I used to be a BIG fan of Joust back in the day; aside from the game being fun as hell to play (hard, but fun), everything about the game was just wacky. Hell, just check out the actual commercial for the game from back in the day… Sadly, aside from one somewhat modest sequel in the arcade, no other Joust games have been released. Though there was a 3D version in the works at one point… for the ill-fated Atari Jaguar. Remember that thing? Here’s the only footage of the work-in-progress version that exists… But anyway, I know no one gives a rat’s ass about Joust aside from myself, so here’s another wacky game to movie adaptation, this time featuring Oregon Trail… |

Be it rain, hail, and sometimes even snow, your job is to haul ass and get that tarp down as fast as humanly possible to prevent the field from getting saturated. | VIDEO: Hawkman gets no respect from his superhero peers Posted: 24 May 2011 01:01 PM PDT This summer features the movie releases of popular characters like Thor, the Green Lantern, and Captain America. This video poses the question: When does Hawkman get his shot? And that question is sort of answered by T.J. Miller (of “Cloverfield” and “Yogi Bear” fame) along with a bunch of other delightful comedians dressed like super heroes in this clip.
I feel bad for Hawkman. Maybe he’s boring and flamboyantly homosexual, but he’s got his life together. Way better than that husky version of Wonder Woman. Her magic lasso would probably end up hog tying her and turning her into bacon. [Thanks for the tip, Chuck!] |
