All the stores (Walmart,Target, Best Buy) in Minot ND have Good stock of iPad 2's 3+ of each model in most cases and it has been that way for a week or 2 now.
Are you sure those aren't iPad 1's ? The Target online inventory website is showing no iPad 2's at any of the three stores in that area.

THe armour lock down now thats crap.
Just like you said about the Jet Pack, the Armor Lock can be really great, but you have to use it correctly. If you are all by yourself, trying to use it in a 1v1 encounter, then no, you aren't using it correctly. Using it as a distraction while teammates flank people gawking at you, using its EMP effect to disable vehicles, or using it to survive heavy weapon fire? That is correct.
elizabeth gutierrez amorAs for those people with Verizon iPhone:
I'm pretty sure Verizon got a copy of 4.3.1 and decided not to release it for their customers. It's usually up to the carrier to test and okay any OS on their network. Verizon has always been the slowest in doing so; it's probably a good thing because the OS on their phones are for the most part very solid.
Unlikely. (http://daringfireball.net/linked/2011/03/09/ios-43) Apple doesn't let the carriers have that kind of control.
amor vittone wedding photosSo now Brazil is the one having "aggressive mercantilist policies"?
Why don't you talk about the US's egregiously illegal subsidies to its orange juice, steel and ethanol industries against Brazilian imports of the same products?
In case you don't know about them, just check WTO's website to see the rulings AND appeals that the US has continuously lost against Brazil. Or is it nice to have "free markets" only when you benefit from them?
It's true-- the policy on ethanol, especially, is bad for US consumers. We are subsidizing US corn farmers to product ethanol that ends up using more petroleum to create than is saved in the resulting gasohol. Meanwhile, import controls are keeping out the (actually efficient) ethanol produced in Brazil. At the same time, food prices are rising all over the world due to shortages that could be alleviated if all that US corn became food, rather than fuel. Ethanol in the US has become nothing but an industrial subsidy for agrobiz. Our taxes our subsidizing a tragedy.
amor e outras drogasI have better things to do than rehash a situation that I have no control over. Especially a situation that gets rehashed on a biweekly basis by generally the same individuals.
Still, four options await:
complain; then buy a PC
complain; but wait for what-ever-it-is-that-your-waiting-for
don't complain; then buy a PC
don't complain; and wait for what-ever-it-is-that-your-waiting-for
In the mean time, I suggest that we all prepare ourselves for the reality of faster machines by mastering all of the software that we already have in our toolboxes.
I'm done...

I don't like the dark grey sliders.
I DO! I hope the get rid of all the jelly bean sliders in leopard and replace them with these, much less intrusive.
Plan B – El Amor No ExisteNo, You can run OS X on non Macs but not legally under the EULA because currently Apple only sells OS X as an OEM with it's hardware or as an upgrade for systems that already come with a Mac OS.
So what. You can buy an upgrade package of winXP and install it on any computer well over 5 years old that had win98 installed on it. You didn't need to install WinMe, Win NT, or Win2000.
You are legally only allowed to install the stand alone OS X 10.4 software on systems that originally came with the Mac OS. It's an upgrade.
Yes, the point is that Apple is trying to prevent people from running OS X on non-Mac computers. End of story.
reyli amor del buenoGo read their SEC filings.
They make money selling hardware.
An operating system is a big complicated program that lets other big complicated programs co-exist peacefully on the same system. However, Apple does not generate much revenue from software sales. If they did, it would be a separate line item in their financials and they would probably need to disclose more information about software sales, since such a large part of the increase in shareholder value would be dependent on it.
Same deal with iTunes Store sales, App Store revenue, MobileMe subscriptions, etc. Not a major part of their bottom line. Apple uses software and content to drive sales of their high-margin hardware.
While what you say is definitely true, context matters! WWDC is not for hardware developers but is predominantly for software developers. If it is not a software company, why would so many software developers throng to their conference? Calling it a software company in this context does not take anything away from it being a hardware company, the way you describe it.
amor prohibido album coverNot happy with it, but meh. I'll just buy a 160gb Classic if they're not planning on updating. I'm using my 80gb now just for videos and it's much better than my iPod touch; which is a super fine PDA.
I guess I'm waiting for the capacity of flash drives to match microdrives.

Awesome! So this means I can use my Plextor 16x burner in the second optical bay? Or will that not work with an Apple?Didn't I tell you yes yesterday? Just buy a copy of Toast 7 for full support. You can also run multiple copioes of Taost 7 on one Mac. I run up to 4 or 5 simultaneously sometimes on my Quad G5 writing DVD Images to multiple HDs.

Wow 24". Where's my credit card :D
Rata Blanca - Sin tu amor nadaNo way. 3D is way to "gimmicky" for Apple. Maybe someday, like when cars have no tires and just hover over the road. But not in the iPad 3. :p

I still can't believe this! All this hype for something so ridiculous! Who cares about an MP3 player? I want something new! I want them to think differently!

Add Frank Zappa to that list.
His estate, to be more accurate. I'm pretty sure Frank didn't believe in an afterlife. :)
07 El Amor No ExisteI am curious as another poster said about the figures with this iPad2 sales. It is an expensive device with not much more to offer than the original. Also with Verizon selling the first gens for next to nothing it almost seems silly to buy the other. Just the other day went to Verizon and bought a second first gen for a family member where the faster processor and cameras are not a priority. I was thinking to myself at that moment and why is anyone waiting in line to get this same thing with rounded edges, faster processor, and 2 sub-par cameras? They also had the ipad2's in stock unsure what size since I did not really care but I played with one and it was neat but not $300 more neat than what I was going in to buy.
El Amor no existe - Plan B ♪ | Flickr - Photo Sharing! This is just stupid. Apple won't follow this fad for two reasons.
Firstly, touch screen 3D doesn't work because it kills the 3D illusion once you touch it and the extra dimension will lead to people confused, "where should i touch??"
Secondly, a group in the UK have developed a portable device that can project a touch-screen hologram onto any surface. far more useful and impressive than the childish concept of 3D.

dios es amorOh dang, these firmware updates make me nervous... so im going to wait and let others be the guinea pig.
PS: This should save apple a ton of cash
The update solved some other problems too here... finally i got a good working and fast macbook! (whoh! damn it's fast now)
I just installed it and my battery is still going strong. So yeah, it's fixed.
I've been going thru these forums for about a year now. I find good posts and opinions but I hate these snide comments from people. Not everyone is as tech savvy as many who post here. I'm sick of scrolling past these guys that have nothing better to do than mock others.

If it's shipping in June, even June 30, how can it not be near final form? I mean when a developer tells me s/w is "nowhere near final form" I'm thinking early beta at best. But 2.5 months from release (assume June 30) shouldn't it be in the bug testing phases and everything else locked up?
Because the version that was showed last night isn't even the most up-to-date. It has been said that they have already re-worked a lot of things that aren't in the latest version. That was probably just a stable version they got out the door for a preview.
I don't know how much they're going to fit in the next few months, but we'll see.
. Now I can hear my favorite Tony Orlando song from when I was 5 juxtaposed with a couple Journey tunes from high school, immediately followed by the new Beck CD, all while I make dinner or cut the lawn.
The iPod has helped to bring music back into my life in a really meaningful way.
Tony Orlando!!????
I think you'd better use one of the Galaxy Tab, preferably while right next to an iPad, before you freely recommend the Galaxy Tab as a replacement.
I've tried a Galaxy Tab 7" and really liked the smaller form factor... but just for playing games. For surfing and email, I'd find 7" a little too small, but a 7" tablet is large enough to provide details and ease of control, but small enough to comfortably fit in your hands.
I didn't try it out long enough to really put it through its paces or to develop an opinion of how the OS fits together, but I had a really nice 5 minute experience with it.
BTW, I own an iPad and I'm happy with it, but I do admire the build quality of a lot of the tablets coming out. Everyone who's in the game seems to be putting out something that actually feels like a solid piece of hardware instead of the cheap feeling laptops that they usually produce.
What took Apple so long?
They were Afraid... of copying Android :)
