It would be nice to see a really amazing, slick machine with really high end portable graphics hardware but Apple will be conservative.

I am responsible for the Farscape posts and I did and I do appologize. I do want to point one thing out though, even though it matters not. When I was making the posts they were not copy and paste but each was unique and written at the moment.

Anyone else notices that iWork will only update if the apps' are in Applications/iWork 06? That's poor design / very un-Apple: why can't I put my apps where I like?

You reinstall JB packages through Cydia (one by one) or by using AptBackup or PkgBackup or some other app like these.
The update simply overwrites the files on your phone but still keeps everything intact like your music, photos, apps etc. The full restore will wipe out everything making you start from scratch.
I just did a full restore to 4.3.2 since mine was sluggish and slow. You can do either or but I always prefer doing a full restore since it clears everything out.
Wish there was a reliable way to keep packages, icon placements, manually installed deb's, and tweaks without having to-do them all. There's package backup, and apt backup, but it's not a full "click to restore" that would be ideal for me.... so it makes little hops like going from 4.3.2 to 4.3.3 kinda more pain than it's worth.

Well, a couple things to consider...
1) Make sure the 360 supports 1080p over VGA (it didn't used to, but they did update it last year, so it might now).
2) There's a very good likelihood that the 360 isn't rendering 1080p (or even 1080i) for most/any games. It's probably rendering at 540p60 and scaling that to 1080i30 or 1080i60. For 1080p it's probably upscaling 720p. Point is that if your set has a good scaler/deinterlacer for 1080i to 1080p (which it very probably does) using 1080i over component is probably going to look just as good as HDMI.
EDIT: Oops, realized you were asking about HDDVD as well as games - which means the 360 is doing "real" 1080p. If you are serious about HDDVD movies you should probably consider the HDMI equipped connection, just in case they decide to turn on the token constraint flags.
Using the Expressive Lip LinerIf you do decide to swap out the logicboard from a newer/faster iMac, keep in mind there are two 500mhz boards out there...the DV SE which has the older 8mb Rage chip and the later models which have the 16mb chip. I'd look for a 600 or 700mhz board to be safe.

Put on your lipliner (NYXIt appears that OS X will truncate any password longer than 7 characters to only 8 characters. In other words, it's an 8-character overflow. This problem is global in that it affects the Login Window, Screen Effects, Keychain Access, and even network logon security. For anyone with long password phrases that have easily-guessable words in the first 8 characters, this is a problem. Since "MacintoshOSXIsMoreSecureThanMicrosoftWindows" only needs to be entered as "Macintosh", gaining unauthorized access is very simple with a common name attack. Of course, we all have passwords that are a combination of letters and numbers, including a mix of upper- and lower-case characters. ;)

Apple displays are a bit overprices, but if you want "the looks" its what you are looking for.
I have a Viewsonic 17" which im really happy with.
Be sure to get a display that supports dvi try a few before you decide, but the market is full with very good LCD for a really low price atm
I am looking for a 19" I think, and I do not have to have widescreen. Also, I think I want to stay away from dell. Just personal problems with some of their stuff in the past at work, and I hate the idea of helping Michael out. :o

I'm an Android guy but I bought an iPad 2. Since I didn't know much of the app store, I bought an app for $9.99 with my mom's credit card (it's on her account). but i wanted to use my 25 dollar gift card, i didn't know you were supposed to redeem it first -___-.

Hmmm... the low lite thing is a little troublesome, as I plan on mostly recording my and the guys I play with on gigs. Sometimes the lighting's not too great.
I wonder if the Zi8 is any better? Similar feature set but without the waterproofing.
They don't really give much specific information about the lens on the Zx3 on the Kodak website...

I have never heard of a "Privacy Policy" ... if it is legit, every landlord would only have to give the tenant 24 hours notice to show the unit to a future tenant.
I would walk away from this unit and keep looking ... saving a few bucks by paying lots of money up-front could end bad for you.
being so far away ... maybe a reputable rental agent who works for an established RealEstate company is your best bet.
You do not want to show up on moving day and find out that you have nowhere to stay and now be in Manhattan.
I second those who like to partition....very useful for test files, OS 9, obviously Panther beta ( but only if you are a developer mind...:rolleyes: ) ......and booting into if your main partion fails....good luck
