VIDEO: Video Games Suck, And Here Are The Reasons Why They Do Posted: 30 May 2011 02:00 PM PDT Sad but true. First off, listen to all the reasons why game suck accord to Irish stand comic, Dara Ó Briain... Sorry, but every single point he makes is a 100% valid (and not just saying that cuz anyone with a thick Irish accent automatically sounds like they know what they’re talking about). ESPECIALLY about Grand Theft Auto 4; when I first discovered that you couldn’t automatically head towards the game’s version of Manhattan, I was legit outraged. Sorry, but I hate Brooklyn in both the real and virtual worlds equally. I also echo his sentiment as it pertains to Rock Band, though my biggest beef is with Guitar Hero 4. I put up with as much of it’s sh*t song selection, crappy animation, and horrendous cross-promotional tie-ins as I could, yet was never able to get towards the one song, and I’m talking the ONLY song I wanted to play, aka the sole reason why I even bothered with that crap title to begin with (in addition to being a snobby Manhattanite, I’m also a Rock Band fanboy). That single tune btw? Dream Theater’s Pull Me Under. Even worse was how excited I got for the code that unlocked all the songs, except for that one. Jesus Christ. But things have gotten better, sorta. The endings of games have improved, slightly. For a reminder of how bad things used to be, here’s a little song… … As angry as I was to be locked out of Algonquin in GTA4, it can’t compare to the thrashing my 8-year-old self gave my bedroom in reaction to the lame-ass reward for beating Rygar. |
VIDEO: LA Noire in 5 Seconds & 40 Minutes Posted: 30 May 2011 09:00 AM PDT First things first, the entire 20 hour plus game can be easily distilled in less than ten second. Don’t believe? Well, just watch the following... Though the real appeal of the game is the rather boring-ass cases that begin to become indistinguishable from each other after a while, due to virtually every single one involving one murdered dame after another (who also all look alike… and speaking of looks, man, for a game with noire in the title, it sure doesn’t look like it). Nor is it the equally boring, though mostly frustrating interrogation scenes. It’s roaming around sunny California circa the 40s! Though instead of getting around with one of the many sweet rides… which is also less fun as it could be, due to not being able to run anyone over… why not just hoof it? And how long would that take exactly? 40 minutes to get from one end of the city to the other, which the following clip demonstrates (though its been sped up and is now a far more digestible 15 minutes)… |

VIDEO: Rookie J.R. Hildebrand loses Indy 500 on final turn Posted: 30 May 2011 06:00 AM PDT J.R. Hildebrand was only seconds away from a historic win at the Indy 500. With Dan Wheldon several seconds behind him, all Hildebrand had to do was cruise into the finish line to take the checkered flag. But that fourth and final turn proved costly as he crashed into the wall trying to take the outside lane on a slower car. Regardless of your thoughts on the “sport” of racing, it was one of those those times where you just feel awful for a guy. Arguably one of the biggest choke jobs in professional competition. The consensus among the experts is that Hildebrand took a bad line in the race track when passing Charlie Kimball. Instead of perhaps throttling down, he chose to pass on the outside and his tires simply gave out on him. It was part “unlucky” and part “rookie mistake”. Unfortunate situation all around, and one he’ll probably learn from next time around. |
VIDEO: Are You Sure You’re Saying EA Sports Correctly? Posted: 30 May 2011 05:30 AM PDT There’s a very real chance that you’re not, otherwise, why else would such a video exist? Because we all know that everything exists on the internet for a reason. Not sure what the story is here; perhaps its either the voice actor, Andrew Anthony, blowing off some steam between takes, or maybe it was his audition tape? In either case, hopefully his not meant in ill will, yet I can still see someone saying his Indian impression is racist, line doesn’t raise too many eyebrows. I always want to be good role play: Asin Posted: 30 May 2011 04:48 PM PDT Asin ready soon be seen in the movie are coming. After it is his second film London Dreams. In this regard he says that he does not like movies constantly. He does not have an ear for them to remain in the media. They want their work priority and that their own people let them. Asin said that they heard and satisfied without the script can not just banner-name films. For me my script first, then character, then director, then co-star banner and then are important. I always want to be good role play. I believe that I am not sure of too much money or fame. Fame as I should get my land in the south. I must admit our heritage. Bollywood films to be consistent not my cup of tea. Gossip news, listen to or read my energy in that waste, I did not ever thinking that Bollywood movies do constantly here.
